I am Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Logic and Theoretical Philosophy at Complutense University of Madrid since 2021. I was awarded a BA in Philosophy in 1987 and a PhD in Philosophy in 1993 in this university. I have been Adjunct Professor at the University of Saint Louis at the College of Arts and Letters (Madrid Campus, 1994–1995), at the College for International Studies, Endicott College (1995–2001), and at the University of Alcalá, Spain (1997–2001), as well as Lecturer at the Complutense University of Madrid (2006–2021). I worked as International Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1989–1990) and was awarded a post-doctoral scholarship at the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, 1992-1993). I have also been Visiting Philosopher at the University of Oxford several times thanks to different grants and research projects from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture, and Visiting Scholar in the Department of Philosophy at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) with support from the Complutense University-Jaime del Amo Foundation
I have serviced as Vice-Dean of Studies in the Faculty of Philosophy of the Complutense University of Madrid (2010–2014) where I designed the Double Degree in Philosophy and Law
In addition to writing philosophy, I have published a novel, “El dios” (The god) and won a prize of short stories “El gato Ignacio y su rabo” (Ignacio, the cat, and its tail)
I enjoy running and swimming, especially in open waters

Soy Catedrático de Filosofía en el Departamento de Lógica y Filosofía Teórica de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid desde el año 2021. Me licencié en Filosofía en esta universidad en 1987 y obtuve también en ella el título de doctor en 1993. He sido Profesor Adjunto de la Universidad de Saint Louis en su College of Arts and Letters (Campus de Madrid, 1994-1995) y en el Endicott College (Campus de Madrid, 1995-2001). He trabajado como Profesor Asociado en la Universidad de Alcalá (1997-2021) y como Profesor Titular de Filosofía en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2006-2021). Fui contratado como International Research Assistant en la Universidad de Wisconsin-Madison (1989-1990) y obtuve una beca postdoctoral de la Universidad de Notre Dame (Indiana, 1992-1993). He sido también Visiting Philosopher en varias ocasiones en la Universidad de Oxford, gracias a distintas ayudas y proyectos de investigación del Ministerio de Educación y Cultura, y Visiting Scholar en el Departamento de Filosofía de la Universidad de California-Santa Bárbara (UCSB) tras obtener a una ayuda de la Fundación Complutense-Jaime del Amo
Además, he sido Vicedecano de Estudios y Calidad Docente de la Facultad de Filosofía de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2010-2014) en donde diseñé el Doble Grado de Derecho-Filosofía
Aparte de escribir filosofía, he publicado una novela, “El dios”, y ganado un premio de cuentos con la historia “El gato Ignacio y su rabo”
